I give this book a mention in my PowerPoint courses because it successfully addresses the underlying foundations of a successful presentations. The WIFFY concept goes further than just identifying your objectives, in making you thing from the audience's perspective.
The checklists and different flows and opening gambits are also useful.

It wasn't until I had time to sit and read this properly, that I started to get the value from it. While other books in my list provide good points that can be quickly extracted, this book rewards time spent with it.
It questions a few sacred cows eg handing out printouts of your PowerPoint slides.
The book also emphasises simplicity and ruthless editing in support of your message.
Plenty of examples are provided to support the concepts of the book. The "blogs are like sharks" example slides clearly makes and reinforces a point about not needing to spell out everything in text points on the slide.
Plan to devote some time to read this book right through.

To the point guide in preparing and making presentations. If you help other people prepare presentations, give them this little guide. Not as expansive as some other books, this just goes to the core issues of preparing and giving presentations. Lots of checklists for the beginning presenter.
